ARE YOUR PAINTS AND MATERIALS SAFE?
Yes, all paints, glazes and other materials used at Rose City Ceramics are
completely non-toxic and lead free. Pieces that have completed the firing
process are food safe.

CAN I PUT MY CERAMIC PIECE IN THE DISHWASHER OR
MICROWAVE?
The glaze manufacturer does not recommend putting the pottery in the
dishwasher or microwave, but we have been doing it for years. Do so at your
own risk.

I'M NOT VERY ARTISTIC, CAN I STILL PAINT SOMETHING?
Absolutely. Painting ceramics is not a difficult process. Anyone can complete a
great piece; we have idea books and friendly staff to help get you started.

WILL EVERYTHING I PAINT JUST FILL MY HOUSE WITH
USELESS JUNK?
No, we have many functional pieces that you can paint such as kitchenware,
bathroom pieces and banks.

IF I DON'T HAVE TIME TO FINISH MY PIECE, CAN I COME
BACK?
Yes. If you want to finish painting at a later date, take the piece home and
bring it back to the studio at your convenience for no extra charge.

WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY MY FINISHED PIECE?
After you finish painting, it will take our staff about six days to apply a clear
glaze and fire your piece in one of our on-site kilns.

DO I NEED A RESERVATION?
No, you can just walk in. However, during busy times (weekends and
holidays) you can call ahead and we will save you a seat. Exception: parties
require advance reservations so we can adequately prepare to make your
party a success.
